Francesco Giomi - Emotional Soundscapes solo live set
Emotional Soundscapes is a journey through different musical habitats, alternating dilated sound threads with obsessive rhythmic textures -the last step on a path that, arising in the world of dance, develops into a completely musical expressive autonomy. A work on the border between feeling and experimentation, this is Giomi´s German premiere.

Carlo Maria Amadio
His sound is influenced both by minimalism and contemporary club culture related genres. The feedback process between humans and machines in music making is one of the main inspiration of his current sonic research.

BLYPKEN "0102" : a neurowave A/V performance & release party
An extended live audiovisual performance and release party of BLYPKEN´s debut release "0102", out on the Swedish label The Sublunar Society.

Simone Sims Longo - NEUTRO
Neutro is an audio-video multichannel live performance aimed to investigate the concept of nothingness through sound geometries which evolve in time and space. The audiovisual work is divided in 4 sections, each part uses a different video technique. The audio is based on multi level iteration of sounds samples organized in a minimal structure; the result is a polyrhythmic texture that changes through the space. The work is live performed with Ableton and MaxMSP, composed during an artist residence at ZKM (IMA Institute for music and acoustics).

BACH CONTEMPORÁNEO

... XelmYa: Alexa Renger - violin, Sylvia Hinz - recorder, Isabelle Klemt - violoncello, and special guest Antonio Rosales - bass clarinet / basset horn ...

BACH CONTEMPORÁNEO
This extraordinary programme aims to present the unique combination of recorder - violin - bass clarinet / basset horn - cello. The selection of compositions compiled by Sylvia Hinz includes both parts of Bach´s masterpiece "The Art of the Fugue" as well as contrasting contemporary works.

Captivating sounds are alternately played in the quartet, trio, or solo. The works by Martin Gaughan, Zeynep Gedizlioglu, Violeta Dinescu, and John Strieder were exclusively written for us and our special instrumentation.

The collaboration between XelmYa and Antonio Rosales began as a collaboration between Sylvia Hinz and Antonio Rosales in 2011 and is also a contribution to cultural diversity between Germany and Mexico.

STINE JANVIN

A contemporary of Terry Riley, Phill Niblock, and Steve Reich, Charlemagne Palestine plays intense, ritualistic music intended to unsettle audiences´ expectations of what is beautiful and meaningful in music. A composer-performer originally trained to be a cantor, in this concert Palestine will construct overtone clusters sounding like a waterfall and absorbing the listeners in the surrounding architecture of the church.

In a similar way, composer and performer Stine Janvin shifts the focus towards the acoustic and psychoacoustic effects of repetitive, though deconstructed patterns and rave rhythms. Stine employs her voice to imitate multi-layered synthesizer sequences, light and darkness to disorient our perception, and create unnatural aural soundscapes of almost mystical beauty.

Circuit Training is a workshop ensemble initiated & founded by Ignaz Schick in 2013 in Berlin with the aim of bringing together musicians from different styles and scenes once or twice a year for working on new pieces of its core members. The group startet out as a 5 piece ensemble and grew with every edition to the current line-up which is consisting of 9 players. The idea was to mix scenes, styles, approaches, and working methods. The musical identity ranges from New Music, Jazz, Echtzeitmusik, Noise, Field Recordings to Analog Electronica and is at its best moments not applicable. So far there have been 5 editions of Circuit Training in different locations in Berlin working on and presenting original works. These include and make use of different forms of notation: graphic scores, conceptual pieces, verbal instructions and sometimes traditionally notated compositions. Circuit Training Festival is kindly supported by Musikfonds e.V. and is a co-production of zangimusic.wordpress.com & Wabe Berlin. Also check http://www.wabe-berlin.info

The Canvas
The expanded being project

After Damp Sheets, choreographer Jenni Ocampo M. presents the second part of The expanded being project in the space of Urbanraum. In this occasion, choreographers and dancers Jenni Ocampo and Jenny Haack and musician Eric Wong come together, and focus on their encounter with time and silence, exchanging and extending their perceptions into sound and movement.

The Canvas is an empty space to be filled out, a naught and silence where everything can be created from. The artists manifest their presence and absence with their bodies on it. Existence and death of every emotion trace on an infinite space memories of what they are, of what they decided to be and how they are transformed in the future.

THE END.

Sowieso has to stop !

Very unfortunately this will be the last evening of Sowieso to excist.

The financial situation is extremely desperate;
GEMA sends me bills of 800 Euros a month. I have the feeling they do not like that uncommercial music gets popular!
Also INNITATIVE MUSIK wants me to pay back more than 10.000 Euro of the price-money Sowieso got some years ago of having the best musicprogram. This has to do with paying rental defficits, that occured during the year that the U-8 was not functioning between Hermannplatz and Hermannstraße.!

I guess you can imagine that this shitty situation produces a lot of stress, wich has a very bad influence on my personal health.

Thats why , with tears in my heart, I have to give up. FUCK......
