Robyn Schulkowsky & Gebrüder Teichmann - Der Golem und wie er in die Welt kam (1920)

Der expressionistische Stummfilm „Der Golem und wie er in die Welt kam“ erzählt von der Erschaffung eines künstlichen Wesens zwischen Schutzmacht und Bedrohung, von menschlichem Gestaltungswillen, Macht und Kontrollverlust. Die archaischen Bilder und mythischen Motive des Films bilden den Resonanzraum für eine zeitgenössische musikalische Lesart. Die Gebrüder Teichmann und Robyn Schulkowsky entwickeln dazu eine Live-Vertonung, die mit Perkussion, präparierten Objekten, Elektronik und Echtzeit-Sampling arbeitet. Rhythmus wird dabei nicht nur als Takt, sondern als bewegliche Struktur verstanden, Klang als körperliche und räumliche Erfahrung. Aus dem unmittelbaren Zusammenspiel entsteht eine offene, dialogische Musik, die den Film nicht illustriert, sondern ihn im Moment der Aufführung neu formt und befragt.

Michael Maierhof - Schwingende Systeme

Schwingende Systeme is not only the title of a series of works by Michael Maierhof - it is also the fundamental subject of his artistic research, which has been ongoing for decades. With his work on sound complexes and music that is deliberately not organized by pitch, composer Michael Maierhof (born 1956) has produced a rich and extensive body of work with a very unique sound language. In this concert, you will experience a carefully curated selection of these works, commented on and framed by works by long-time companions, performed by experts in his music.

Ludovic Gerst Film - ludovic frise lumière

Frise Lumière is an personal project by Ludovic Gerst, artist, musician and composer. By refining the instrumentation to only his bass, he extracts harmonic melodies, rythmic and percussive.
Frise Lumière was born out of a series of work sessions, collaborations and explorations with dancers, artists and textile designers, before becoming a purely solo project.
Exploring and working this rhythmic instrument in its entirety before producing his first album Bisou Genou. Ambo is the result of various past and present encounters, while continuing and affirming the sonic and minimalist exploration of his prepared bass.

LIJEL´s performances mesmerize with an intense, almost transcendental force, drawing the audience into a deep, hypnotic flow. Her solo shows weave ethereal ambient layers with cutting-edge experimental electronics, sculpting sound through frequencies and vibrations that seem to resonate from a future yet to come.

She creates soundscapes from found objects of everyday life, from the things we wear and pieces found on streets and combining these with her vocal improvisations.
With roots in South Slavic and Siberian-Mongolian, her voice carries echoes of forgotten tongues and primal utterances. Her vocal improvisations defy linguistic borders, weaving ancestral resonance into modern sonic experimentation.

ROBIN BURKE
Robin Burke is an Irish musician & long term resident of Berlin who loves live music events and sometimes even organises them, as part of the PVCs team at the Untergeschoss der Pandora Art Gallery.

He is also a sound engineer who is interested in musical and AudioVisual (Live AV) performances & collaborations.

His priorities are people, culture, society, our shared history, Anti-Police, anti-military, anti-colonialism, anti-borders, and the protection of the natural world that has spawned us and we are duty-bound to sustain.

Inzwischen ist es zur Tradition im Kulturraum Zwinglikirche e.V. geworden, am Anfang des Veranstaltungs-Jahres Walter Ruttmann´s legendären Stummfilm "Sinfonie der Großstadt" aufzuführen, begleitet vom DJ-Duo Gebrüder Teichmann. Im musikalischen Zentrum stehen dabei Subkulturen und experimentelle Musiken Berlins, die untermalend, fragmentierend und zitierend, ihrerseits Geschichten Berlins bis in die Gegenwart erzählen und diese mit den Bildern Ruttmanns verknüpfen.

PITCH SHIFTING
is an experimental audio-visual collaboration established in 2019 between musician Grgur Savic and visual artist Sanja Star. The project explores the intersection of contemporary music with live, audio-reactive visual projections—a clear representation of sound through highly abstract imagery.

A hypnotic evening with computer-controlled pipes and lights

The 7th edition of gamut inc‘s series PYTHO presents their new modular organ BLACK SQUARE. Individually change of wind pressure of each pipe enabling new sounds. The pieces are creating an euphorically intoxicating maelstrom of overlapping, accelerating textures and harmonies.

Zwischen Jehan Alain und Dror Feiler bestehen kaum stilistische, dafür umso tiefere innere Verbindungen. Beide sehen Musik nicht als formales Spiel oder ästhetische Verzierung, sondern als existenzielle Praxis von Ernst und Dringlichkeit. Dror Feilers Kompositionen arbeiten mit Extremen von Lautstärke, Dauer und Dichte, oft bis an die Grenze des Erträglichen. Traditionelle Formen von Entwicklung, Ausdruck oder Schönheit werden bewusst vermieden; stattdessen entstehen akustische Räume von Überforderung, Stillstand und Druck. Musik „erzählt“ hier nicht – sie konfrontiert.

Jehan Alains Werke wirken gleichzeitig archaisch und modern, spirituell und körperlich, improvisatorisch und hochkonzentriert. Seine Trois Danses folgen einer existenziellen inneren Dramaturgie von Leben, Verlust und Kampf. Ostinati, motorische Patterns, ungerade Akzente und tranceartige Wiederholungen prägen eine Musik, die weniger an klassische Orgelästhetik erinnert als an Tanz und Ritual – und die auf körperlicher Ebene unmittelbar erfahrbar wird.
